Top 5 Central Coast pub meals under $20

Elanora Hotel – East Gosford

The Elanora is quickly become well known for their adventures our twists on pub classics. Perfect for a weekend meal with the family, they have outdoor and indoor seating. The Elly has been awarded 3 schooners (top rating) by the Sydney Morning Heralds ‘Good Pub Food guide’ which proves its excellence! Follow their facebook page for their weekly specials including ‘Burger of the week’. Majority of their menu is under $20 – Winner!

Try our menu picks: “The Foghorn Leghorn ($20), Potato skins ($10) and the Fettucine Al Funghi ($22)”

Breakers County Club – Wamberal

Breakers is the perfect place for a get together with family or friends! They have a courtesy bus service, and function rooms for hire. There is lawn bowls which the whole family can enjoy on a sunny Sunday afternoon after a meal. Thursdays is 2-4-1 Steak night and kids eat free on Wednesdays from 5.30pm! There are $9.90 specials from the Skillion brasserie menu making Breakers an affordable option for larger families!

Our picks: “Chefs Signature ‘King Prawn Risotto’ ($19), Ribeye steak Sandwich ($16.50) and the Chicken schnitzel Parmy ($18.50)

Terrigal Hotel

A long time family favourite, the Terrigal Hotel. Opposite the lagoon and a short walk from the esplanade makes Terrigal Hotel a great pick for a feed. They have affordable weekly specials, $15 Chicken Schnitzel Thursdays, $15 Rump Mondays and a $15 Wednesday Curry special. The playground is a short walk away where the kids can burn off some energy afterwards, the perfect remedy before nap time!

Our picks: “Beef burger ($18), Ale Battered fish & chips ($19) and the Soft shell fish taco’s ($16)”

Bateau Bay hotel

Bateau Bay Hotel has outdoor and indoor seating, equipped with a children’s playground and live music on Sunday afternoons in the beer garden. There are an extensive cocktail list and a bistro which caters to all – making Bateau Bay hotel the perfect spot for Sunday lunch! Their menu has loads of variety and choice, and $15 lunch specials!

Our picks: “Crumbed Calamari ($15), Scotch Fillet burger ($19.50) and the Honey Mustard Prawn Fettuccini ($23)”

Avoca Beach Bowling Club

Avoca Beach Bowling Club has a great variety of food, ranging from western burgers, to steaks, to burgers to Malaysian cuisine! Mondays have 2-4-1 meals and Sundays, kids eat free. There is live entertainment all weekend long, as well as weekly raffles, bingo and trivia. There is also lawn bowls, group poker and darts! You will never be bored at Avoca Bowlo – there’s something for everyone.

Our picks: “Kampung Chicken clay pot ($20), Salt & Pepper Silken Tofu ($18) and Grilled barramundi ($22)
